Terms of Service

Welcome to Animora. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Animora app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using Animora, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Animora. You must be 18 or older to send or receive tips and gifts. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, streams, and text you post ("Your Content"). By posting, you grant Animora a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute Your Content solely to operate and promote the Service. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to share it.

4. Community rules

To keep Animora safe and welcoming, you agree not to post or do anything that:

is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, or promotes violence;
is sexually explicit, or depicts or encourages animal cruelty, neglect, or harm;
infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
is spam, a scam, or impersonates another person, organisation, or business;
contains malware, or attempts to hack, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You can report content and block users in the app, and we act on reports promptly.

5. Live streaming

Live streams are subject to the same community rules and must comply with animal-welfare and safety standards. Clinical or professional advice must come from appropriately verified accounts. We may end a stream that violates these Terms.

6. Tips, gifts & payouts

Animal gifts and tips are digital items used to support creators. When you buy a gift, you are purchasing a one-time digital acknowledgement, not a physical good.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Eligible, verified creators receive a share of each gift; Animora retains the remainder as a platform fee (currently a 50/50 split), and creator earnings are paid out via Stripe Connect.
Gift and tip purchases are generally non-refundable, except where required by law.
You are responsible for any taxes on amounts you receive as a creator.

7. Moderation & enforcement

We may review, remove, or restrict content, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to users or Animora.

8. Termination

You may stop using Animora and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. Some sections survive termination, including content licences already granted, payment obligations, and the disclaimers below.

9. Disclaimers

Animora is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content posted by users is accurate. Information in the app (including nearby-places data and any advice from other users) is provided for convenience and is not professional veterinary advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Animora and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, unless mandatory local laws provide otherwise.
